Who can join the Australian Labour and Employment Relations Association ACT?

Associations are to organise and foster discussion, research, education, and publication within the field of industrial relations. If you are in support of these objects and are at least 15 years old, you can apply to become a full voting member.

How long does my membership last for?

The membership year for the ALERA ACT runs the financial year from 1 June to 30 June. Maximise your value by attending as many events as you can!

Who can join ALERA ACT?

All IR individuals, Corporations, and Students. Check out our membership page for current rates.

Are all events free to members?

We try to provide a significant number of events free for members, but not all events are practical to run this way. Longer and more expensive events may require extra payment, but members always receive a discounted rate and can attend other IRS events at member rates.

Can I be on the Committee of ALERA ACT?

If you are an interested and financial member of ALERA ACT, then you can nominate yourself to take part in the Committee, to help steer and support the work of the Society. New and returning Committee members will be elected each year at the Annual General Meeting of the Society.

How do I sign into my account?

Simply click the "Member Login" button in the top right of the homepage, enter the email address you signed up with, or select "Forgot password" to reset your password.

How do I access members only content?

The members-only area is available from the homepage. You can access electronic copies of the Journal of Industrial Relations through Sage using the link in the members only area and view relevant IR webinars and presentations in our resources section.

Can I update my details online?

Yes! The new platform allows members to update their contact details, communication, and payment preferences themselves. While logged in, click on the member login icon to change and add to your contact details.

I have changed my email address; how do I log in?

It's easy. Log in to your member profile with your old email address and update with your new one.

Will my membership automatically renew each year?

Yes! ALERA ACT will send you an email to advise you that your membership renewal is approaching. On the renewal date, we will automatically deduct the membership amount from your saved credit card. If your credit card has expired, you will be prompted to change prior to the member renewal date. Please note that recurring payments can be updated in your member profile.

How do I change my credit card details?

Easy! Just log into your member profile and change.
